Q. What party is responsible for the regulation of the Irish Energy Market?

A. The Commission for Energy Regulation (CER) was set up in 1999 to promote competition while protecting the end user. It is their responsibility to evaluate any proposal put forward on new tariffs and rate changes, providing an independent forum for discussion.
